Another update from Emily Barnes, Trip Director:
The teams are doing very well. The team that went north to Gulu arrived safely Monday afternoon and had their first night in the tents. They are actually going to meet with the King of the Acholli Tribe today. In the afternoon they will be doing children's ministry in a primary school. The team in Kampala had an amazing first day of ministry. They taught the abstinence curriculum to over 400 students. So many of them made commitments of purity, and many came forward for prayer. The school officials were so thankful for the message we shared and have asked the church to come back and do more teaching. We are excited to set the church up for more long term ministry. Today the team in Kampala is working with the church to pass out feed and do personal evangelism in two Muslim communities. Thanks for the prayers. I'll update more soon.
Sounds like busy and productive days. Continue to pray for the missionaries, especially the leaders who are getting by on little rest. God bless!
